εἰς τὸ τέλος ὑπὲρ τῶν υἱῶν Κορε ὑπὲρ τῶν κρυφίων ψαλμός
Ps 46:0

2Ps 46:12אֱלֹהִ֣ים לָ֭נוּ מַחֲסֶ֣ה וָעֹ֑ז עֶזְרָ֥ה בְ֝צָר֗וֹת נִמְצָ֥א מְאֹֽד׃Ps 46:1
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
Ps 45:2Ps 45:2ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν καταφυγὴ καὶ δύναμις βοηθὸς ἐν θλίψεσιν ταῖς εὑρούσαις ἡμᾶς σφόδραPs 46:1
God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
3Ps 46:23עַל־כֵּ֣ן לֹא־נִ֭ירָא בְּהָמִ֣יר אָ֑רֶץ וּבְמ֥וֹט הָ֝רִ֗ים בְּלֵ֣ב יַמִּֽים׃Ps 46:2
Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes,
though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;
Ps 45:3Ps 45:3διὰ τοῦτο οὐ φοβηθησόμεθα ἐν τῷ ταράσσεσθαι τὴν γῆν καὶ μετατίθεσθαι ὄρη ἐν καρδίαις θαλασσῶνPs 46:2
Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes,
though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas;
4Ps 46:34יֶהֱמ֣וּ יֶחְמְר֣וּ מֵימָ֑יו יִֽרְעֲשֽׁוּ־הָרִ֖ים בְּגַאֲוָת֣וֹ סֶֽלָה׃Ps 46:3
though its waters roar and are troubled,
though the mountains tremble with their swelling.

Ps 45:4Ps 45:4ἤχησαν καὶ ἐταράχθησαν τὰ ὕδατα αὐτῶν ἐταράχθησαν τὰ ὄρη ἐν τῇ κραταιότητι αὐτοῦ διάψαλμαPs 46:3
though its waters roar and are troubled,
though the mountains tremble with their swelling.

5Ps 46:45נָהָ֗ר פְּלָגָ֗יו יְשַׂמְּח֥וּ עִיר־אֱלֹהִ֑ים קְ֝דֹ֗שׁ מִשְׁכְּנֵ֥י עֶלְיֽוֹן׃Ps 46:4
There is a river, the streams of which make the city of God glad,
the holy place of the tents of the Most High.
Ps 45:5Ps 45:5τοῦ ποταμοῦ τὰ ὁρμήματα εὐφραίνουσιν τὴν πόλιν τοῦ θεοῦ ἡγίασεν τὸ σκήνωμα αὐτοῦ ὁ ὕψιστοςPs 46:4

6Ps 46:56אֱלֹהִ֣ים בְּ֭קִרְבָּהּ בַּל־תִּמּ֑וֹט יַעְזְרֶ֥הָ אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים לִפְנ֥וֹת בֹּֽקֶר׃Ps 46:5
God is in her midst. She shall not be moved.
God will help her at dawn.
Ps 45:6Ps 45:6ὁ θεὸς ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς οὐ σαλευθήσεται βοηθήσει αὐτῇ ὁ θεὸς τὸ πρὸς πρωίPs 46:5

He lifted his voice, and the earth melted.
Ps 45:7Ps 45:7ἐταράχθησαν ἔθνη ἔκλιναν βασιλεῖαι ἔδωκεν φωνὴν αὐτοῦ ἐσαλεύθη ἡ γῆPs 46:6
The nations raged. The kingdoms were moved.

8Ps 46:78יְהוָ֣ה צְבָא֣וֹת עִמָּ֑נוּ מִשְׂגָּֽב־לָ֝נוּ אֱלֹהֵ֖י יַעֲקֹ֣ב סֶֽלָה׃Ps 46:7
Yahweh of Armies is with us.
The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Ps 45:8Ps 45:8κύριος τῶν δυνάμεων μεθ’ ἡμῶν ἀντιλήμπτωρ ἡμῶν ὁ θεὸς Ιακωβ διάψαλμαPs 46:7
Yahweh of Armies is with us.

9Ps 46:89לְֽכוּ־חֲ֭זוּ מִפְעֲל֣וֹת יְהוָ֑ה אֲשֶׁר־שָׂ֖ם שַׁמּ֣וֹת בָּאָֽרֶץ׃Ps 46:8
Come, see Yahweh’s works,
what desolations he has made in the earth.
Ps 45:9Ps 45:9δεῦτε ἴδετε τὰ ἔργα κυρίου ἃ ἔθετο τέρατα ἐπὶ τῆς γῆςPs 46:8

10Ps 46:910מַשְׁבִּ֥ית מִלְחָמוֹת֮ עַד־קְצֵ֪ה הָ֫אָ֥רֶץ קֶ֣שֶׁת יְ֭שַׁבֵּר וְקִצֵּ֣ץ חֲנִ֑ית עֲ֝גָל֗וֹת יִשְׂרֹ֥ף בָּאֵֽשׁ׃Ps 46:9
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth.
He breaks the bow, and shatters the spear.
He burns the chariots in the fire.
Ps 45:10Ps 45:10ἀνταναιρῶν πολέμους μέχρι τῶν περάτων τῆς γῆς τόξον συντρίψει καὶ συγκλάσει ὅπλον καὶ θυρεοὺς κατακαύσει ἐν πυρίPs 46:9
He makes wars cease to the end of the earth.

11Ps 46:1011הַרְפּ֣וּ וּ֭דְעוּ כִּי־אָנֹכִ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים אָר֥וּם בַּ֝גּוֹיִ֗ם אָר֥וּם בָּאָֽרֶץ׃Ps 46:10
“Be still, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted among the nations.
I will be exalted in the earth.”
Ps 45:11Ps 45:11σχολάσατε καὶ γνῶτε ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι ὁ θεός ὑψωθήσομαι ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ὑψωθήσομαι ἐν τῇ γῇPs 46:10
“Be stillª, and know that I am God.
I will be exalted (lifted up) among the nations.
I will be exalted (lifted up) in the earth.”

a σκολσατχ: to be unoccupied, at leaisure. It is this charge of idleness that Pharoah laid against the children of Israel in Ex 5:8 &17
b Jesus uses these words about being lifted up/ exalted out of the earth and drawing all nations in John 12:32
