2Jb 4:22μὴ πολλάκις σοι λελάληται ἐν κόπῳ ἰσχὺν δὲ ῥημάτων σου τίς ὑποίσειJb 4:2
“If someone ventures to talk with you, will you be grieved?
But who can withhold himself from speaking?
Jb 4:2Jb 4:2הֲנִסָּ֬ה דָבָ֣ר אֵלֶ֣יךָ תִּלְאֶ֑ה וַעְצֹ֥ר בְּ֝מִלִּ֗ין מִ֣י יוּכָֽל׃Jb 4:2
“If someone ventures to talk with you, will you be grieved?

3Jb 4:33εἰ γὰρ σὺ ἐνουθέτησας πολλοὺς καὶ χεῖρας ἀσθενοῦς παρεκάλεσαςJb 4:3
Behold, you have instructed many,
you have strengthened the weak hands.

Your words have supported him who was falling,
You have made firm the feeble knees.
5Jb 4:55νῦν δὲ ἥκει ἐπὶ σὲ πόνος καὶ ἥψατό σου σὺ δὲ ἐσπούδασαςJb 4:5
But now it is come to you, and you faint.
It touches you, and you are troubled.
Jb 4:5Jb 4:5כִּ֤י עַתָּ֨ה ׀ תָּב֣וֹא אֵלֶ֣יךָ וַתֵּ֑לֶא תִּגַּ֥ע עָ֝דֶ֗יךָ וַתִּבָּהֵֽל׃Jb 4:5
But now it is come to you, and you faint.
It touches you, and you are troubled.
6Jb 4:66πότερον οὐχ ὁ φόβος σού ἐστιν ἐν ἀφροσύνῃ καὶ ἡ ἐλπίς σου καὶ ἡ ἀκακία τῆς ὁδοῦ σουJb 4:6
Isn’t your piety your confidence?
Isn’t the integrity of your ways your hope?

Isn’t your piety your confidence?
Isn’t the integrity of your ways your hope?
7Jb 4:77μνήσθητι οὖν τίς καθαρὸς ὢν ἀπώλετο ἢ πότε ἀληθινοὶ ὁλόρριζοι ἀπώλοντοJb 4:7
“Remember, now, whoever perished, being innocent?
Or where were the upright cut off?
Jb 4:7Jb 4:7זְכָר־נָ֗א מִ֤י ה֣וּא נָקִ֣י אָבָ֑ד וְ֝אֵיפֹ֗ה יְשָׁרִ֥ים נִכְחָֽדוּ׃Jb 4:7

8Jb 4:88καθ’ ὃν τρόπον εἶδον τοὺς ἀροτριῶντας τὰ ἄτοπα οἱ δὲ σπείροντες αὐτὰ ὀδύνας θεριοῦσιν ἑαυτοῖςJb 4:8

A form was before my eyes.

It stood still, but I couldn’t discern its appearance.
A form was before my eyes.

17Jb 4:1717τί γάρ μὴ καθαρὸς ἔσται βροτὸς ἐναντίον κυρίου ἢ ἀπὸ τῶν ἔργων αὐτοῦ ἄμεμπτος ἀνήρJb 4:17
‘Shall mortal man be more just than God?
Shall a man be more pure than his Maker?
Jb 4:17Jb 4:17הַֽ֭אֱנוֹשׁ מֵאֱל֣וֹהַ יִצְדָּ֑ק אִ֥ם מֵ֝עֹשֵׂ֗הוּ יִטְהַר־גָּֽבֶר׃Jb 4:17

18Jb 4:1818εἰ κατὰ παίδων αὐτοῦ οὐ πιστεύει κατὰ δὲ ἀγγέλων αὐτοῦ σκολιόν τι ἐπενόησενJb 4:18

He charges his angels with error.
Jb 4:18Jb 4:18הֵ֣ן בַּ֭עֲבָדָיו לֹ֣א יַאֲמִ֑ין וּ֝בְמַלְאָכָ֗יו יָשִׂ֥ים תָּהֳלָֽה׃Jb 4:18

19Jb 4:1919τοὺς δὲ κατοικοῦντας οἰκίας πηλίνας ἐξ ὧν καὶ αὐτοὶ ἐκ τοῦ αὐτοῦ πηλοῦ ἐσμεν ἔπαισεν αὐτοὺς σητὸς τρόπονJb 4:19
How much more, those who dwell in houses of clay,
whose foundation is in the dust,
who are crushed before the moth!
Jb 4:19Jb 4:19אַ֤ף ׀ שֹׁכְנֵ֬י בָֽתֵּי־חֹ֗מֶר אֲשֶׁר־בֶּעָפָ֥ר יְסוֹדָ֑ם יְ֝דַכְּא֗וּם לִפְנֵי־עָֽשׁ׃Jb 4:19
How much more, those who dwell in houses of clay,
whose foundation is in the dust,
who are crushed before the moth!
20Jb 4:2020καὶ ἀπὸ πρωίθεν ἕως ἑσπέρας οὐκέτι εἰσίν παρὰ τὸ μὴ δύνασθαι αὐτοὺς ἑαυτοῖς βοηθῆσαι ἀπώλοντοJb 4:20
Between morning and evening they are destroyed.
They perish forever without any regarding it.
Jb 4:20Jb 4:20מִבֹּ֣קֶר לָעֶ֣רֶב יֻכַּ֑תּוּ מִבְּלִ֥י מֵ֝שִׂ֗ים לָנֶ֥צַח יֹאבֵֽדוּ׃Jb 4:20
