Ps 59:1Ps 59:1לַמְנַצֵּ֣חַ אַל־תַּשְׁחֵת֮ לְדָוִ֪ד מִ֫כְתָּ֥ם בִּשְׁלֹ֥חַ שָׁא֑וּל וַֽיִּשְׁמְר֥וּ אֶת־הַ֝בַּ֗יִת לַהֲמִיתֽוֹ׃Ps 59:0

2Ps 59:12ἐξελοῦ με ἐκ τῶν ἐχθρῶν μου ὁ θεός καὶ ἐκ τῶν ἐπανιστανομένων ἐπ’ ἐμὲ λύτρωσαί μεPs 59:1
Deliver me from my enemies, my God.
Set me on high from those who rise up against me.
Ps 59:2Ps 59:2הַצִּילֵ֖נִי מֵאֹיְבַ֥י ׀ אֱלֹהָ֑י מִּמִתְקוֹמְמַ֥י תְּשַׂגְּבֵֽנִי׃Ps 59:1
Deliver me from my enemies, my God.
Set me on high from those who rise up against me.
3Ps 59:23ῥῦσαί με ἐκ τῶν ἐργαζομένων τὴν ἀνομίαν καὶ ἐξ ἀνδρῶν αἱμάτων σῶσόν μεPs 59:2
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity.
Save me from the bloodthirsty men.
Ps 59:3Ps 59:3הַ֭צִּילֵנִי מִפֹּ֣עֲלֵי אָ֑וֶן וּֽמֵאַנְשֵׁ֥י דָ֝מִ֗ים הוֹשִׁיעֵֽנִי׃Ps 59:2
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity.
Save me from the bloodthirsty men.
4Ps 59:34ὅτι ἰδοὺ ἐθήρευσαν τὴν ψυχήν μου ἐπέθεντο ἐπ’ ἐμὲ κραταιοί οὔτε ἡ ἀνομία μου οὔτε ἡ ἁμαρτία μου κύριεPs 59:3
For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul.
The mighty gather themselves together against me,
not for my disobedience, nor for my sin, Yahweh.
Ps 59:4Ps 59:4כִּ֤י הִנֵּ֪ה אָֽרְב֡וּ לְנַפְשִׁ֗י יָג֣וּרוּ עָלַ֣י עַזִ֑ים לֹא־פִשְׁעִ֖י וְלֹא־חַטָּאתִ֣י יְהוָֽה׃Ps 59:3
For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul.
The mighty gather themselves together against me,
not for my disobedience, nor for my sin, Yahweh.
5Ps 59:45ἄνευ ἀνομίας ἔδραμον καὶ κατεύθυναν ἐξεγέρθητι εἰς συνάντησίν μου καὶ ἰδέPs 59:4
I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me.
Rise up, behold, and help me!
Ps 59:5Ps 59:5בְּֽלִי־עָ֭וֹן יְרוּצ֣וּן וְיִכּוֹנָ֑נוּ ע֖וּרָה לִקְרָאתִ֣י וּרְאֵה׃Ps 59:4

You, Yahweh God of Armies, the God of Israel,
rouse yourself to punish the nations.
Show no mercy to the wicked traitors.
Selah.
Ps 59:6Ps 59:6וְאַתָּ֤ה יְהוָֽה־אֱלֹהִ֥ים ׀ צְבָא֡וֹת אֱלֹ֘הֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הָקִ֗יצָה לִפְקֹ֥ד כָּֽל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם אַל־תָּחֹ֨ן כָּל־בֹּ֖גְדֵי אָ֣וֶן סֶֽלָה׃Ps 59:5
You, Yahweh God of Armies, the God of Israel,
rouse yourself to punish the nations.
Show no mercy to the wicked traitors.

7Ps 59:67ἐπιστρέψουσιν εἰς ἑσπέραν καὶ λιμώξουσιν ὡς κύων καὶ κυκλώσουσιν πόλινPs 59:6
They return at evening, howling like dogs,
and prowl around the city.

8Ps 59:78ἰδοὺ ἀποφθέγξονται ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν καὶ ῥομφαία ἐν τοῖς χείλεσιν αὐτῶν ὅτι τίς ἤκουσενPs 59:7
Behold, they spew with their mouth.
Swords are in their lips,
“For,” they say, “who hears us?”
Ps 59:8Ps 59:8הִנֵּ֤ה ׀ יַבִּ֘יע֤וּן בְּפִיהֶ֗ם חֲ֭רָבוֹת בְּשִׂפְתוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם כִּי־מִ֥י שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃Ps 59:7
Behold, they spew with their mouth.
Swords are in their lips,
“For,” they say, “who hears us?”
9Ps 59:89καὶ σύ κύριε ἐκγελάσῃ αὐτούς ἐξουδενώσεις πάντα τὰ ἔθνηPs 59:8
But you, Yahweh, laugh at them.
You scoff at all the nations.
Ps 59:9Ps 59:9וְאַתָּ֣ה יְ֭הוָה תִּשְׂחַק־לָ֑מוֹ תִּ֝לְעַ֗ג לְכָל־גּוֹיִֽם׃Ps 59:8
But you, Yahweh, laugh at them.

10Ps 59:910τὸ κράτος μου πρὸς σὲ φυλάξω ὅτι ὁ θεὸς ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου εἶPs 59:9
Oh, my Strength, I watch for you,
for God is my high tower.
Ps 59:10Ps 59:10עֻ֭זּוֹ אֵלֶ֣יךָ אֶשְׁמֹ֑רָה כִּֽי־אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים מִשְׂגַּבִּֽי׃Ps 59:9
Oh, my Strength, I watch for you,
for God is my high tower.
11Ps 59:1011ὁ θεός μου τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ προφθάσει με ὁ θεὸς δείξει μοι ἐν τοῖς ἐχθροῖς μουPs 59:10
My God will go before me with his loving kindness.
God will let me look at my enemies in triumph.
Ps 59:11Ps 59:11אֱלֹהֵ֣י ‏{ חסדו חַסְדִּ֣י }‏ יְקַדְּמֵ֑נִי אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים יַרְאֵ֥נִי בְשֹׁרְרָֽי׃

Ps 59:10
My God will go before me with his loving kindness.
God will let me look at my enemies in triumph.
12Ps 59:1112μὴ ἀποκτείνῃς αὐτούς μήποτε ἐπιλάθωνται τοῦ λαοῦ μου διασκόρπισον αὐτοὺς ἐν τῇ δυνάμει σου καὶ κατάγαγε αὐτούς ὁ ὑπερασπιστής μου κύριεPs 59:11
Don’t kill them, or my people may forget.
Scatter them by your power, and bring them down, Lord our shield.
Ps 59:12Ps 59:12אַל־תַּהַרְגֵ֤ם ׀ פֶּֽן־יִשְׁכְּח֬וּ עַמִּ֗י הֲנִיעֵ֣מוֹ בְ֭חֵילְךָ וְהוֹרִידֵ֑מוֹ מָֽגִנֵּ֣נוּ אֲדֹנָֽי׃Ps 59:11
Don’t kill them, or my people may forget.
Scatter them by your power, and bring them down, Lord our shield.
13Ps 59:1213ἁμαρτίαν στόματος αὐτῶν λόγον χειλέων αὐτῶν καὶ συλλημφθήτωσαν ἐν τῇ ὑπερηφανίᾳ αὐτῶν καὶ ἐξ ἀρᾶς καὶ ψεύδους διαγγελήσονται συντέλειαιPs 59:12
For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips,
let them be caught in their pride,
for the curses and lies which they utter.
Ps 59:13Ps 59:13חַטַּאת־פִּ֗ימוֹ דְּֽבַר־שְׂפָ֫תֵ֥ימוֹ וְיִלָּכְד֥וּ בִגְאוֹנָ֑ם וּמֵאָלָ֖ה וּמִכַּ֣חַשׁ יְסַפֵּֽרוּ׃Ps 59:12
For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips,
let them be caught in their pride,
for the curses and lies which they utter.
14Ps 59:1314ἐν ὀργῇ συντελείας καὶ οὐ μὴ ὑπάρξωσιν καὶ γνώσονται ὅτι ὁ θεὸς δεσπόζει τοῦ Ιακωβ τῶν περάτων τῆς γῆς διάψαλμαPs 59:13
Consume them in wrath.
Consume them, and they will be no more.
Let them know that God rules in Jacob,
to the ends of the earth.

Let them know that God rules in Jacob,

17Ps 59:1617ἐγὼ δὲ ᾄσομαι τῇ δυνάμει σου καὶ ἀγαλλιάσομαι τὸ πρωὶ τὸ ἔλεός σου ὅτι ἐγενήθης ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου καὶ καταφυγὴ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ θλίψεώς μουPs 59:16
But I will sing of your strength.
Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning.
For you have been my high tower,
a refuge in the day of my distress.
Ps 59:17Ps 59:17וַאֲנִ֤י ׀ אָשִׁ֣יר עֻזֶּךָ֮ וַאֲרַנֵּ֥ן לַבֹּ֗קֶר חַ֫סְדֶּ֥ךָ כִּֽי־הָיִ֣יתָ מִשְׂגָּ֣ב לִ֑י וּ֝מָנ֗וֹס בְּי֣וֹם צַר־לִֽי׃Ps 59:16
But I will sing of your strength.
Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning.
For you have been my high tower,
a refuge in the day of my distress.
18Ps 59:1718βοηθός μου σοὶ ψαλῶ ὅτι ὁ θεός ἀντιλήμπτωρ μου εἶ ὁ θεός μου τὸ ἔλεός μουPs 59:17
